Pride's Perspective.
Pride is one of those words that wears a thousand faces. It can walk into a room dressed as strength, or it can sneak in disguised as arrogance. It can make you stand taller, or make you look down on everyone else. The line between those two? It’s thinner than most of us want to admit.
For years, I thought pride was proof that I mattered. If I worked harder, achieved more, outshined the next guy, then I could breathe easy. But that wasn’t pride. That was my fear wearing a suit. It was hubris, the kind that hides the cracks you don’t want anyone to see.
There are really two kinds of pride. One builds you up, while the other one blinds you.
Authentic pride comes from something real. It’s the feeling you get when you’ve earned something through sweat, consistency, and a little grace. It’s quiet. It doesn’t need applause. It’s the voice that says, "hey you made it out today, even if you didn't want to". That kind of pride keeps you grounded. It gives you spine without ego. It builds respect…
